THE 11TH EDITION!!
Spain's premier English language Stand Up comedy competition

We are once again expecting the full 27 entrants this year after such  a hotly contested competition in 2021 it just gets better every year.

The format will remain the same-
3 Heats will produce
the 9 best qualifiers, that will battle it out to produce just one Funniest FICer.

The 2022 competition is now open with a deadline for entries of October 20 2022 so plenty of time to refine that killer 7 mins of comedy to pitch against the finest Spain has to offer

Same process 3 heats leading to a Barcelona Final

Wed    Nov 16 -    9pm  -    HEAT 1  + FIC launch - Comedy Clubhouse - Door 20.30 Start 21.00
Thurs   Nov 17 -   9pm -     HEAT 2  - Comedy Clubhouse - Doors 20.30 Start 21.00
Mon    Nov 21 -   9pm  -     HEAT 3 - Comedy Clubhouse -  Doors 20.30 Start 21.00
Thurs   Nov 24 -  8.30pm -  GOLEMS - Doors 20.30 Start 21.00

The Roolz:
  • Only amateur comedians can enter
  • joint submissions are not allowed
  • In the heats 9 comedians will deliver 5-6 mins each. with 3 qualify for final
  • Final 9 comedians 7-8 mins each.


NOTE: by entering the competition you agree to allow FIC to film and redistribute that footage of your performance

Some Funny FICer history...

In 2013 Madrid's Funniest FICer Archie Bezos won his way... all the way to Vegas and the comedy dream of a lifetime where he proceeded to come 5th (see below) in US comedy Bohemoth's The Laugh Factory's search for 'The Funniest Person in the World' in Hollywood and Las Vegas. Quite something... 
Archie has continued his comedy career and regularly is found performing in both English and Spanish around Spain.
FIC is proud to have played a small formative part in yet another comedy career!
