The judges in all the heats are comprised of a carefully chosen selection from Industry professionals, local media and local business. Many have been judges for a number of years.

STEPHEN GARLAND aka The Giggling Guiri: Accredited programmer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival since 2002. Created ComedyinSpain in 2004, followed by The Giggling Guiri Comedy Club in 2005, in 2008 Festival Internacional de Comedia de Barcelona, launched internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009, and in 2011 created the first Funniest FICer.

Mariah Girouard - BCN's Funniest FICer 2023 Campeona
The 2022 Final was a real banger with 9 acts really pushing the judges all the way to seperate and settle on the ONE BCN's Funniest FICer.
Once again it came down to a blistering performance from Mariah to come above a truly brilliant field.
Mariah followed up the following January with a brilliant support to the legendary Seann Walsh

Winner in 2016, Hannah has gone on to become something of a local 'Queen Of BCN Comedy'.

Steve Varley has been to every single Giggling Guiri comedy show since the very first a 'Best Of Irish Comedy Special' back in 2004!
That show was the first ever professional English language comedy show to ever take place in Spain. Over the years he has been a judge on the Funniest FICer Final on several occasions offering a really independent impartial 'punters voice' to the judging mix
Was part of the same international brigade as Chris Groves and George Orwell.
