The judges in all the heats are comprised of a carefully chosen selection from Industry professionals, local media and local business. Many have been judges for a number of years.

STEPHEN GARLAND aka The Giggling Guiri: Accredited programmer at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival since 2002. Created ComedyinSpain in 2004, followed by The Giggling Guiri Comedy Club in 2005, in 2008 Festival Internacional de Comedia de Barcelona, launched internationally at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2009, and in 2011 created the first Funniest FICer.

Romina Cocca is an Argentinian actress, stand-up comedian and acting coach based in Barcelona. She is a regular on the Spanish comedy scene who performs both in English and Spanish in shows such as "Calladitas estáis más guapas" and her one-woman show "Egocéntrica", among many others. She has appeared in the stand-up TV shows "20Vint" (RTVE Catalunya), PhiBetaLambda (YouTube) and “Stand-up Revolution” (Antena 1 Romania), and has opened for Carmen Lynch in "Cómicas XXX". As an actress, she has been in the series "The Hockey Girls" (Netflix) and Self-tape (Filmax). She has worked as an acting coach in "You would do it too" (Legendary Pictures/ Disney+).

Steve Varley has been to every single Giggling Guiri comedy show since the very first a 'Best Of Irish Comedy Special' back in 2004.
That show was the first ever professional English language comedy show to ever take place in Spain. Over the years he has been a judge on the Funniest FICer Final on several occasions offering a really independent impartial 'punters voice' to the judging mix
Was part of the same international brigade as Chris Groves and George Orwell.
